Joseph Crompton was born to John Crompton and Matilda Johansen-Crompton on March 9th, 1888, in Ogden, Utah. It was the year Grover Cleveland won the popular vote, but lost the Electoral College vote to Republican challenger Benjamin Harrison.

Joseph was the youngest of four children, with siblings Florence, John, and George.

Carolyn Hegler was born January 19th, 1893 to Anton Hegler and Mary Mlakar-Hegler. She would become a grade school teacher. Her father Anton Hegler died October 25th, 1924, and mother Mary Mlakar-Hegler would pass October 7th, 1944. (Reference Theresa Crompton-Barr bible notes).

*Theresa's inherited bible also references death dates of Howard Hegler on September 30th, 1966, and Ludwig "Smiler" Hegler on December 11th, 1968. These would be Carolyn's older brothers.

Joseph and Carolyn married and raised three sons in Omaha, NE.

Joseph Crompton died July 13th, 1958. Carolyn Hegler-Crompton lived to the age of eighty-four. She passed November 5th, 1977.
