John Alfred Crompton was born to George Crompton of Ogden, Utah.

Winifred Maxine Boyden was born to Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Boyden, also of Utah. She was a graduate of the University of Utah, a member of the Chi Omega Sorority and of Mortar Board, National Scholastic Society.

John married Winifred Maxine Boyden August 28, 1938 in Salt Lake City, at the home of her brother W. E. Boyden. They lived in Coalville, Utah, and were said to be a popular couple. John was a well-known businessman in Coalville, Utah, where he operated a barber shop for several years.

A friend of the Crompton's children from Salt Lake tells us they had three kids. The family lived on Downy Avenue in Salt Lake in the early 1950's.
