Harold Crompton was born in 1879 Lancashire, England, to Alfred Crompton and Sarah Cryer-Crompton. Thomas Alva Edison demonstrates incandescent lighting to the public for the first time in Menlo Park, New Jersey that year.

Harold married Sarah Bates in 1901. King Edward VII opens his first parliament. In the United States, President William McKinley begins his 2nd term.

Harold and Sarah had at least one child, a son. Sarah died in 1948 Bolton, England. It is unknown when Harold Crompton passed.
