Democratic Party incumbent Grover Cleveland wins the popular vote, but loses the Electoral College vote to Republican challenger Benjamin Harrison, losing the US Presidential election that year.
Annie Crompton was born March 13th, 1893 in Almy, Wyoming, to David Crompton and Elizabeth Kennedy-Crompton, the 9th of their 14 children. It was the month after Rudolf Diesel received his patent for the diesel engine. President Benjamin Harrison is succeeded by Stephen Grover Cleveland, and the World's Fair opens to the public in Chicago, USA that year.
