Eleanor Barr was born in circa 1827 Shackelford, Missouri, the third oldest of James Barr and Minnie Schieberl-Barr's twelve children. It was around the time the U.S. Bureau of Prohibition was founded under the Department of the Treasury. She would grow up on the family farm, and had four brothers that served in WW II. Eleanor would marry Mr. Teale and the two would have one son.
