John "Bernard" Barr was born to James Barr and Minnie Schieberl-Barr in 1920's Shackelford, Missouri. He would be raised on the family farm with his four brothers and seven sisters.

We don't know a lot about Bernard, other than he had four brothers serve in WWII.

Bernard would marry "Joyce" (pictured). It is unclear whether the two would have any children.
