We were gypsies on this tour...
In October, the Stones performed a rare surprise club gig at the Rainbow Music Hall in Denver, following their Folsom Field show in Boulder, Colorado, with Heart, George Thorogood and The Destroyers. Got a lucky tip on the surprise Rainbow gig and stayed in town the night after seeing the band in Boulder.
We saw both.

Back home in Houston, the Astrodome couldn't book a Stones date because the Houston Astros had blacked out the dates for potential baseball playoffs. We got tickets at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas for the Halloween show October 31st instead. Turns out, the Astrodome opened up and the Stones got to set up shop there on the 28th, so it was all good. And the band filmed that one - you can still get the video today. We were on a roll by then...
We saw both.

In December, Mick Taylor happened upon the Stones while in Kansas City on business, and performed later that night with the band. The surprise appearance at Kemper Arena in Kansas City is the only Rolling Stones live performance in which Mick Taylor and Ronnie Wood have ever played together on the same stage with the Stones. Ever.
We saw that one too, baby...

Has anyone seen my *&%! Fulsom Field, 1981 Boulder ticket stub?

SOME GIRLS WORLD TOUR 1975:

Our first Stones gig.

Opening acts: Rufus, Chaka Khan, Kee Kee Dee Band, Eagles.

Traffic stoppers:
The Stones frustrate the press, who were invited to Feathers Restaurant in New York City for a surprise 1975 tour announcement, when instead the band cruised past the press and the restaurant while performing "Brown Sugar" and throwing out flyers off the back of a flatbed truck on May 1st, 1975.

A few weeks later, Arrowhead Stadium, KC, MO - Friday June 6th, 1975.
